To the Business Friendly Organization Community,
After careful thought, I have made the decision to close the Business Friendly Organization. This decision was not easy, as this group has always been more than a business network to me—it was a way to create something different, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone, whether they were a small business, a larger company, or a nonprofit organization.
From the start, I envisioned a group that was open to not only our local community but also those outside of it, encouraging collaboration and connection beyond geographical boundaries. I believed in broadening horizons and working together, and I am proud that we created a space where nonprofits were valued as equal contributors alongside businesses—a principle that many traditional organizations didn’t embrace.
I also believed strongly that no one should have to pay just to see if a group was the right fit for them. That’s why I kept participation free, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the organization’s value before deciding to join. To me, this was simply fair, and it reflected my belief that any organization confident in its purpose should be willing to offer that chance.
While I know this approach didn’t resonate with everyone, it was always about what felt right to me: fostering an open-minded, inclusive, and accessible environment where value and relationships could speak for themselves.
As I close this chapter, I want to thank everyone who joined us, supported our mission, and shared in this vision. I am deeply grateful for the experiences we’ve had together and the connections we’ve built.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I hope the values of inclusivity, collaboration, and openness that defined this group continue to inspire your efforts in the future.
With gratitude and respect,
