I wanted to share some highlights from the fantastic monthly meeting we had last night, graciously hosted by Holy Ghost Prep School.

Bill Doherty, the Director of Communication, did an excellent job organizing the meeting, complete with a delightful catered meal for all attendees. Our sincere thanks to Bill for his efforts.

We were welcomed to the Holts Center at Holy Ghost by President Greg Geruson, setting the tone for a great gathering. With over 40 BFO members present, the night was a success, and we were honored to have Bucks County Commissioner Gene DiGirolamo and Ron Davis from Parx Casino in attendance.

The highlight of the evening was our “Meeting with our Mayor,” featuring Bensalem’s very own Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo. As always, Mayor DiGirolamo shared informative and entertaining insights into the new developments and historical happenings in Bensalem. It was a pleasure to hear about the growth of our community, especially recalling a time when we had no police department, and now our Bensalem Police are an award-winning force. Their proactive approach to ensuring our safety is truly commendable.

Bob Nurkos, the Executive Director of Bensalem Economic Development Corporation, also joined us to discuss a new initiative. He outlined a plan to combat external and internal theft, offering defensive measures against organized retail crime (ORC). I encourage you to check out the attached letter from Mayor DiGirolamo for more information, including an invitation to a free summit on January 31, bringing together the Police, DA, and business community from 9 to 11:30 am.

Additionally, B3T has organized Unity Week to celebrate MLK week. Breakfast at Parx Casino on Monday at 8 am. I’ll be there and would love to see other BFO members join me. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet everyone involved in Unity Week.

I’ll be at the breakfast this Monday morning and the summit, and I hope to see many of you there.
