BFO Nov. 2023 PARX Casino & Racetrack

BFO November meeting hosted by Parx on Friday 10th at 8 am in Parx East inside the Cotillion Room was another great meeting.

We had 35 members attend this meeting with their guest. Award winning Chef Ron Tridente from Parx prepared our food, and his staff did a wonderful job serving us.

We honored our Veterans as the next day was Veterans Day and we have many of our members who served our country proudly.

One of the nice things about our organization is finding out things about each other. This helps up know what drive us and how we can help each other. Last year Ron Davis talked to us about his wife Diane and her book that she wrote about her personal life experience called Tragic Victory.

I read her book and have great deal of respect for her for writing it. Ron and I are friends and reading the book has given me a better insight of his life. And it explains the question how a former professional football player is now a gentle giant.

Ron Davis our guest speaker told us all the great things Parx is up to. Including the new building that is set to go up soon. Ron and Michelle Saldutti run the Diversity Division at Parx.

Michelle recently joined the board on at NOVA. She is super active in many organizations and on multiple boards. I did not know she was a victim of a violent crime as a young lady and like myself. Once you experience being a victim you are always helping others every way you can.

Our organization is all about helping each other.

Edie Elkan from Bedside Harp recently had some medical issues. She really wanted to make the meeting with her husband Matt. Her company Bedside Harp goes out to hospitals and plays harps for people to help them feel better. She came up with the idea as she is an accomplished harpist. The joy of music to the people who do not feel so good and stuck in a bed.

Joy Tryon recently was added to our directory as a Private Bank Consultant. He is no longer with Quaint Oak Bank, and I felt a man who has over 50 yrs. experience as a banker. Who helped so many members during the covid shut down as he is SBA certified and had all the answers no one else had back then. He needs to be connected with us, and us with him. I have delt with many bankers and Joe Troyn is not your typical banker.

Let’s keep on helping each other in all the ways we can.

Together we can do amazing things. If we do not help each other then with time it all goes away. Please tell me how we can help you and how you can help us.
